Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2018 in Black Mountain!
Start your Irish celebration Friday evening with a delicious to-go meal from Red Radish To Go on East State Street. Chef Marcus will have classic corned beef with Guinness mustard, scallion mashed potatoes, braised cabbage and carrots, and Irish soda bread. Call ahead to reserve yours: 828-375-9100.
For lunch or dinner, savor a delicious corned beef and cabbage plate at Trailhead Restaurant on East State Street or at Black Mountain Ale House on Cherry Street. Berliner Kindl German Restaurant on Broadway will offer corned beef and cabbage with potatoes or corned beef rouladen with home fries. And the specials at Foothills Butcher Bar on Black Mountain Avenue include bangers and mash, and a corned beef blue plate.
Drink a pint (or four) at Lookout Brewing Company on South Ridgeway Avenue to support the Colon Cancer Coalition! Lookout will be donating $1 for every pint sold to “Get Your Rear in Gear.” And stout pints are $1 off on St. Patrick’s Day!
Black Mountain Ciderworks on Eastside Drive will be celebrating with “Meat & Mead” from 1 to 10 p.m. with the release of BOUDICA, mead fermented with Irish breakfast tea and clover honey. Celtic-inspired, mead-infused meats (and non meats) will also be available.
Enjoy a real touch of Ireland at Europa on Cherry Street! Europa offers handcrafted gifts from several European countries including the green isle. Pick up a Celtic CD, a merino wool scarf, an Ireland stein for your green beer, or a pair of shamrock earrings in tribute to St. Pat!
